12 Years Coaching
Pedro combines more than a decade of coaching experience with a background in strength and conditioning, functional fitness, and endurance, helping clients build sustainable progress through structured, adaptable training.
Pedro has been coaching professionally since 2014, with a background rooted in strength and conditioning, functional fitness, endurance, and progressive training.
His coaching journey grew out of his own experience with CrossFit, which he began in 2012. What started as an interest in training gradually became a career and, over time, changed how he thought about coaching itself.
Today, Pedro takes a relationship-led and educational approach. He believes progression should be purposeful, not rushed, and that consistency matters more than constantly chasing intensity. His coaching has evolved away from the idea that every session needs to hurt to be effective and toward helping clients understand what they are doing, why they are doing it, and how their training fits into the bigger picture.
He particularly enjoys working with busy professionals, beginners, adults over 40, and people returning to structured training who want to become stronger and fitter without allowing training to take over the rest of their lives.
Pedro helps clients build strength, power, work capacity, and overall athletic capability through progressive training built around their current level and goals.
His functional approach combines strength, conditioning, mobility, and coordination to help clients become more capable across different types of movement and training.
Pedro uses running, rowing, skiing, cycling, and mixed conditioning work to develop cardiovascular capacity while balancing those demands with the rest of the client's program.
For clients preparing for HYROX or similar hybrid challenges, Pedro can combine strength, conditioning, endurance, and functional fitness within a more structured performance plan.
Pedro describes his style as relationship-led, educational, progressive, and based on consistency over intensity.
Before building a program, he wants to understand the client's routine, sleep, nutrition habits, goals, training history, available training days, injury history, and the types of training they enjoy or dislike.
Check-ins can vary from more frequent contact to weekly communication depending on the individual. Pedro reviews factors such as exercise execution, perceived difficulty, session duration, the client's feedback, and whether they understand the purpose behind their training.
He does not change a program simply for novelty. In one example from his onboarding, he explains to a client why repeating a conditioning stimulus can be necessary long enough for adaptation to occur before progressing it. At the same time, he recognizes that enjoyment matters and looks for a balance between effective progression and keeping training engaging.
If progress slows or life circumstances change, Pedro describes it as recalculating the route. He may speak with the client, understand what has changed, and then adjust the strategy rather than forcing the original plan to continue unchanged.
“My goal is for clients to understand their training well enough that one day they have the tools and knowledge to continue their fitness journey on their own.”
